"This website gives comprehensive information on the services which New Forest District Council provides.  However what makes us different to other organisations which provide services in the Forest is the fact that we are democratically elected to lead our local communities.  The more that local people understand about who their Councillors are and what they do the better but the more people are actively involved in the democratic process the better still. 

This section gives important information about how the system works, what our aspirations for this wonderful part of the world are, and how you can get involved. Help us to ensure that democracy continues to flourish here".
